About St Helena Bay Business Chamber

A CHAMBER FOR ALL BUSINESS

The St Helena Bay Business Chamber (SHBBC) was established in October 2023 by a group of local business owners who recognised the need for an organisation that truly champions business in our town, for our people.

Born out of a shared commitment to local enterprise, the Chamber exists to support and strengthen businesses across St Helena Bay and its surrounding areas. Our focus is on creating meaningful opportunities, encouraging collaboration, and promoting sustainable economic growth within our community.

We believe that thriving local businesses are the foundation of a resilient, connected town. That’s why we prioritise local support, shared knowledge, and strong relationships, not only among our members but also with neighbouring chambers, civic bodies, and partner organisations.

At the first full AGM held in March 2025, the Chamber reached an important milestone with the ratification of its new constitution, code of conduct, and credo by the member body. These foundational documents were developed under the leadership of the governance portfolio, with input and collaboration from several committee members, and were formally presented and adopted at the AGM.

The Chamber operates as a registered non-profit company (NPC) with CIPC, where office bearers are appointed as directors. Following the adoption of the new constitution, the board is now composed of elected members, with the flexibility to co-opt additional members from time to time to fulfil specialist roles and responsibilities.

Together, we’re building a future where business and community grow hand in hand.

New Logo & Indentity

At the recent AGM, we formally launched the new logo and visual identity for the Chamber — a refreshed look that reflects our purpose, community roots, and vision for the future. It’s more than just a new coat of paint; the identity tells a story about who we are and where we’re going.
